A Nod To Life
Life itself is a gift bestowed upon those fortunate enough to witness this great world of ours. A rose that symbolizes beauty and passion, is also equipped with thorns to indicate life’s very harshness. However, the rose is incomplete with out those thorns, and so is life with out its up and downs. A beautiful life becomes more than just a blissful experience, it is those moments in life when we look back upon our very insides are over done with joy. Although in the fury of pain we forget these memories. But ask yourself this: Do you remember the bad when things are so up? Maybe, but life is much longer than a day, a month and even a year. How we choose to live this life is completely up to us, it is our birth right. I feel as though we all have a burning desire to live a meaningful life. We stress ourselves and begin to control every element of our lives only to realize more stress and anxiety. How do we live a beautiful life? By doing things that are beautiful. For me sitting in traffic and listening to my favorite songs and singing at the top of my lungs is beautiful to me. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but that’s the point. Beauty is not objective; it is supposed to be subjective. We are meant to feel it in our own way, see it in our own way, and hear it in our own way. Why do sports fans show such immense passion for their teams? Why does one get up early in the morning and go for a run? Maybe its because they recognize something beautiful in that.
We live in a time that has taken away the very essence of life; to enjoy every second of it. I think its time to reclaim ourselves. Enough with the stresses of tomorrow and let’s start living today. This world has more in common with each other than we know. Someone is struggling to let go of guilt and another person is lost with no where to go. Yet these two people are both going through it. What I’m trying to say is that we all have more in common than we think. We all feel pain, sadness, and happiness. It’s the same feeling for everyone. Because the feeling itself is so similar that everyone feels it the same. We describe it differently but ultimately; we can all tell when someone is happy or sad. But what is difficult to tell is the
mental aspect. Mental health is so crucial these days simply because we need our mental selves to live a beautiful life. My mission, at the very least, is to help those who struggle with mental health and offer a way. Like I said before, we have more in common, and mental health affects every one of us at some point in our lives. But there is help. Some help could come in the form of a weighted blanket designed to help those who deal with anxiety and insomnia. Or it can come in the form of a person who can guide us through the dark and teach us to seek out the light. Or maybe it comes in the form of faith. Faith in the almighty is a source of true inspiration for the faithful. This website was developed on these very premises and will continue to expand on them.
I, by no means, am here to cure any mental health issues. I am here for the sole purpose of easing the pain of those who go through it. I only hope that when you come across this website, you find a flame of inspiration and carry that with you. Because at the end of the day, we are all so beautiful that it would be an injustice not to live a beautiful life.
