Insta-What? My New Love is CINEMAGRAM
I can’t stop using the iPhone app Cinemagram. The photographers from the exquisite blog From Me To You popularized this animated technique with their somewhat haunting yet highly stylized moving images that teased us with the gentle sway of an earring on a girl, or a swish of a lady’s dress while the background seemed frozen in time. Then I noticed retailers like ShopBop started using this technique to add more emotion and drama to their photoshoots. Now, an App makes it possible for the rest of us to create these fun animated pics. Of course, you can put an old school colour filter on your vids for a touch of hipster.
