Through Her Eyes
The cherry blossoms have awaken from their winter slumber. I’m keeping the words short today and dedicating this post to my dear friend, Melissa, who passed away after a courageous fight with cancer. She was an amazing photographer and artist (she has taken MANY photographs posted on this blog) so in her honour I am posting some a few of my faves on the camera reel. I will be writing a separate post on how she has been a mentor and inspiration to me (in fact, she was a strong influence for me to start A Beautiful Life). But I’m not ready yet.
We had a cherry blossom themed BBQ with friends for the 1st BBQ of the season. No food pics b/c I feel my plating and photography don’t do the food justice.
Picnic at Sasquatch Provincial Park w/leftover roast chicken sandwich, ratatouille and roiboos tea.
Learning how to farm organically at a local community garden. I dream of beans, kale, heirloom carrots and candycane beets.
Life in a Lemon Slice.
I still miss you.

Thank you.
Beautiful post and beautiful pictures. I miss Melissa too
I’m so sorry to hear about your friend passing – this post is such a beautiful tribute to her memory though, especially given the fact that these beautiful images were captured by her. My thoughts are with you Liv xx
Alex xoxo
Thanks Alex, your words are appreciated. These images were taken by me, as inspired by her. I will post another link in a new post that will show you some of her photography, which is stunning.
A fitting tribute to our dear Melissa. She really did have such a great photographer’s eye.
*hugs* Liv. It was great seeing you last night. Let’s have lunch after you’re back from vacation.
