Baubles, Beads, and Bangles and a Sneak Peek
Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. I spent mine relaxing and doing the usual errands in preparation for a busy 4 weeks ahead. Lots of new client work to keep me busy, and we’re headed to Whistler for a couple of days soon too!
I was totally chuffed when Flare Canada contacted me to be part of an upcoming shoe feature. The feature won’t be available until the end of February, but I’m giving you a first look at the accessories I wore for it. Because I chose to wear a minimalist silk maxi dress by T by Alexander Wang, I went wild for jewelry. The dress actually has a stunning cut out in the back, but I will have to show you another time because I didn’t get any shots of it. It was hard enough running back and forth to check my camera angles in a restricting dress (teetering around in baby steps), plus trying not to freeze to death. There were more than a few funny outtakes where I wore my “bitch” face due to the circumstances. Ahh…the things we bloggers do just to get one shot.
I wore multiple stacked bangles on one wrist, collected from various flea markets and little shops from my travels. On my other arm, I wrapped a rose petal bead rosary from the Salt Spring Island market several times to create a dripping bracelet. I picked up 3 necklaces from Front and Company: a silver chain with two hanging triangles, a long chained horntooth, and a turquoise tassel strung with gold and blue beads for some colour. Stacked rings, including a silver knuckler, completed the layered look. As for the shoes, you’ll just have to wait until the end of the month to see what I picked.
On the topic of baubles, I found a new line of jewelry by a Peace Treaty that I just adore. It’s earthy and geometric, and they look like pieces you would find on a globetrotting trek. I think these two pieces would go nicely with my maxi dress. Hmm….

Have a great start to the week!
